I’m a little late with my post this morning – I had to feed the birds and then I got distracted by a coyote. Yesterday morning it was a ‘sun dog’.

Positively Going 'Round The World - In 3.5 hours

Early last summer I had a wonderful road trip to South Carolina and have been trying ever since to plan another getaway. Since then my daughters have been to Costa Rica, New Orleans and Key West. Where did that leave me? Penciling in the dates I would be dog-sitting. Doesn’t seem fair!

So on Saturday I took a quick trip around the world – the Travel and Adventure show was in town. What fun – and travel inspiration galore!

To listen to the weather reports, the whole country is buried in several feet of ice and snow. While not quite true, most of us are getting our share.  Here – in the ‘burbs south of Chicago – it’s varied from town to town.  My little corner got 10 or 12 inches the past few days.

I woke up Sunday to a softly falling snow, the ground covered, the branches and evergreen boughs wearing blankets of white. Truly beautiful!
