POSITIVELY A Few Of My Favorite Things

What are your favorite holiday signs? Lights? Cookies? Tinsel?  There are so many things to choose from.

 

I like …

the way things sparkle with glitter, especially by candlelight.

brightly wrapped presents, big or small

the smell of peppermint, and of cookies baking.

And sampling them warm from the oven.

 

 

 I like…

glass ornaments, nativity scenes and the smell of pine.

the crunch of snow beneath my boots

wearing gloves

red and green together, something you’d never do any other time of year.

 

 

 

 

 I like…

the ambient light of the Christmas tree

Christmas parties and family dinners

The sound of bells outside the stores

I even like the yards filled with every decoration ever made - they always bring a smile.

 

 

 

 

 

There’s lots to like about the season. So, like the song says, simply remember your favorite things, and then sit back with a cup of eggnog, and enjoy.  Breathe, relax, and let’s count our blessings.
